What is Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional Therapy is the application of nutrition science to promote optimum health, prevention of disease, encourage peak performance and assess any dietary and nutrient imbalances that are contributing to your current health problems. A specifically tailored Nutritional Therapy programme will address any vitamin, mineral and other nutrient deficiencies and support the efficiency of the body’s many metabolic pathways, which will in turn enhance the body’s ability to cope with stress, infection and disease.

What you can expect from a consultation with Liz McWatt

Prior to coming to see Liz for the first time, you will be expected to complete a questionnaire. At your first consultation Liz will take a detailed history which will include an overview of your current health problems, medical and family history, plus diet and lifestyle factors. She may recommend laboratory tests if she feels they would be helpful. Following your first consultation Liz will send you a personalised dietary, lifestyle and supplement programme based upon the information you have given her.  It is important to remember that your prescriptions are not life-long, but will be subject to review as your treatment progresses. You will derive maximum benefit from seeing Liz at 4-6 weekly intervals to monitor your progress and make any adjustments necessary.
